IMPERFECT - A CAMPAIGN FOR TWEENS


BRIEF
I chose to create a campaign that dealt with core issues of inadequacy in 'tweens' and restore self-esteem. Focusing in particular on the beauty and cosmetics industry, and their influence on 'tween' girls (9-12). Pictured is the layouts of the research, creation and supplementation behind 'Imperfect'.
DESIGN 

'Imperfect' was the nature and aesthetic of the campaign, and was carried throughout. My Contextual Portfolio (left) served as a thesis to the creation and research behind the campaign, and investigated issues pertinent to the ideals of beauty in popular culture.
INSPIRATION 

Current pop-culture references to pop music, fashion and make-up. Gossip and teen magazines, as well as cosmetic design and advertising played a key role in the creation of 'Imperfect'.
